A card for Election Day
A lot has happened but remember you have the power
So much has happened and every time I thought to write I would get overwhelmed by so much to say. So I’m simplifying. I asked to pull a card that would be a good message to give today, and this card came out:
Stepping into Power - You are strong beyond measure
This really feels appropriate as it is election day here in Canada. An important one that decides the direction of this country. Do we elect a guy who uses the populist playbook, making life a lot less safe for people who belong to groups which are easy to scapegoat, or parties that believe in the vision of a strong, fair, and prosperous Canada? We’ll know soon. I’ve been setting the intention that this is a free and fair election, with people making the commitment to show up and vote, using facts rather than misinformation as their guide. Let’s see what happens.
However, this card is a reminder that each one of us is powerful, even if it doesn’t seem that way in the moment. I like that he has a lantern on a stick, leading others forward in the dark. Every single one of us has that ability if we choose to voice it. We don’t need to live our lives for others. We can be true to ourselves.
That’s really been the core of what I’ve been doing, preparing myself to step forward and lead. I will talk about those various projects as they launch. It’s been a hell of a journey but I’m looking forward to seeing what comes together. I hope those reading this will stick with me on it.
